Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has extended the bid submission date for the first phase of Project Wave in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The US$5 billion Project Wave is a public-private partnership (PPP) seawater treatment scheme, which includes two water treatment plants located in Al-Mirfa and Al-Nouf with a combined treatment capacity of 210 million imperial gallons per day. The selected company or consortium will develop, finance, construct, operate and maintain two standalone greenfield seawater nanofiltration plants, in addition to pumping stations and transmission pipelines to transport the treated water to onshore fields.
In November 2021, ADNOC prequalified 11 companies. However, the company decided to split the project into two phases and announced the extension of the deadline. The new deadline for the submission of bids is 18 July 2022.
