Adani Group has started taking over the operation of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport located in Ahmedabad, state of Gujarat in western India.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has completed the procedure to transfer the operation of the airport to the Adani Ahmedabad International Airport Ltd (AAIAL).
In February 2020, AAI has signed concessions of Managaluru International Airport, Ahmedabad International Airport, and Lucknow International Airport with subsidiaries of Adani Group. The concession includes the development, operations, and management of the airports for a period of 50 years.
