Private equity firm Searchlight has completed its GBP 469.8 million (USD 595 million) acquisition of UK-based asset manager Gresham House.

Gresham House has undergone a significant transformation, evolving from a previously unprofitable investment company into a thriving and profitable specialist alternative asset manager. The firm now manages Assets Under Management (AUM) totaling approximately GBP 8.3 billion (USD 10.5 billion), with a primary focus on sustainable investments. Gresham House actively oversees these assets on behalf of a diverse client base, including institutions, charities, endowments, family offices, private individuals, and their advisors. The company's portfolio spans various sectors, including forestry, real estate, sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, battery storage, and public and private equity. With a new ownership structure in place, Gresham House is poised to accelerate its growth ambitions. This shift is expected to create enhanced opportunities for sustained investment returns across diverse strategies, asset classes, and regions. The firm aims to expand its presence both within and beyond the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
