The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has announced the completion of structural works for the access viaduct of the Heroes del Chaco bridge. With these milestones, the consortium of CDD Construcciones and Constructora Heisecke has achieved 66% progress on the construction works of the bridge.
The structure for the access viaduct features a total of 590 prestressed beams, 480 beams on the Chaco side and 110 beams on the Costanera Norte side. Manufactured at a plant located in Chaco ́í, each beam is 27 m long and weighs 40 tons. The viaduct will protect the riverbank and flood-prone areas in the Chaco'i area.
