The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) of Paraguay has announced that it is planned to speed up work on Lot 2 of the Pytá - Ybyrarobaná road.

B&B Construcciones SA is responsible for the work on Lot 2, which is route PY03 - Yby Pytá - Ybyrarobaná - route PY03 (31.5 km). Since the company has not progressed for 2 years on work in this area, arrangements are being made to continue. The MOPC reported that there is an opportunity to subcontract the company. The project involves the construction of the 62.15-km road that will connect two municipalities - Yby Pytá and Ybyrarobaná from 34 km of the PY03 highway to the Ybyrarovaná junction. The project will benefit about 12,000 residents of the district of Yby Pytá and 15,000 inhabitants of the locality of Ybyrarobaná, totaling 27,000 compatriots. The work on Lot 1, which represents route PY03 - Yby Pytá - Ybyrarobaná - route PY03 (31.5 km), is the responsibility of Tres Palmas Consortium, being Hugo Navarro and Eng. Dario Jara in charge.

The amount of investment in both lots is PYG84,99 million (US$11.44 million). The construction of the road will benefit the area, as the economy of the area is characterized by a large number of agricultural producers, especially corn, beans and cassava, which need to be transported.
