AAM 15 to build US$100 million Student housing PPP project in USA

The University of Vermont has announced that it will build undergraduate housing for 540 students in apartments near the southern edge of Centennial Woods, USA. The dorms will be on the east side of The University of Vermont's main campus, near I-89.

UVM has already rented out the property to AAM 15, the proprietors of the adjacent DoubleTree Hotel, for the purpose of operating a parking lot. The project is expected to cost approximately US$100 million. The university's contribution would make up approximately 25% of the total project expenses. The construction of the project is planned to start in early 2024. The aim is to have the structure prepared for use by the start of the Fall semester in 2025.

This initiative is an extension of the university's commitment to augment housing options for its students, faculty and staff, contributing to alleviating the housing scarcity both locally and statewide. An additional housing facility catering to UVM graduate students and staff is presently being built in South Burlington through the university's collaboration with Snyder-Braverman, with the first residents anticipated to move in by Summer 2024.
