Saudi Water Partnerships Company (SWPC) released the list of nine prequalified bidders for the Jubail 4 and 6 Independent Water Project (IWP) in Saudi Arabia.

Companies from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Spain, France, and Japan have been prequalified for the 600,000 m3/day desalination project. The Request for Qualification (RFQ) for this project was issued on January 26, 2023. The prequalified bidders are:

1. UAE’s Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA)
2. Spain’s Acciona Agua
3. Saudi’s ACWA Power
4. Saudi consortium of Ajlan & Bros and Rawafid Industrial Company
5. A Saudi-Oman consortium of Al Jomaih Energy & Water Co. and Sogex Oman Co
6. Spain’s GS Inima
7. France’s International Power (Engie)
8. Japan’s Marubeni Corporation
9. Saudi Arabia’s Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (Marafiq)
