There is a good event you may want to assist to: PPP Investment Summit Egypt.You can read more information on this other post.In Egypt, some 7 percent of government investments in FY 2010/11 have been allocated for the partnership projects with the private sector according to the Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.This year's plan estimated these investments at some EGP 3 billion: of which 41 percent for the administrative apparatus, 45 percent for public service agencies and 6 percent for local administration, in addition to the percentage earmarked for PPP projects with the private sector.The plan included the allocation of EGP 1 billion of PPP investments for the New Rodh el Farag electric transformation project and another EGP 1 billion for the development of medication services at hospitals affiliated to Alexandria University.Some EGP 400 million was allocated for the sanitary drainage water treatment station in New Cairo, EGP 100 million for the 6th of October treatment station and some EGP 500 million for the Abu Rawash water purification station.But this is not all, Egypt is looking for foreign investment. Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed said Monday 4/10/2010 that the government seeks increasing foreign investments in the coming period to more than 10 billion dollars.Get more information on Egypt's PPP law.Follow us on twitter
