The Ministry of Public Works and Communications in Paraguay has shared that approximately 64% of construction work has been finished for the PY09 Transchaco route concession. The route is 553 km long with four sections.
The concession is divided into a total of 8 lots containing 4 sections. The project is being financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF). The work progress for each lot is as follows:
- Lot 1 (km 50 to km 112): Undertaken by Constructora Heisecke SA, 45% completed;
- Lot 2 (km 112 to km 173): Undertaken by Transchaco Route 9 Consortium, 54.44% completed;
- Lot 3 (km 173 to km 250): Undertaken by Avanza Chaco Consortium, 30% completed;
- Lot 4 (km 250 to km 326): Undertaken by Tocsa SA, 21.16% completed;
- Lot 5 (Km 326 to km 390): Undertaken by Concretmix SA, 112% completed;
- Lot 6 (km 390 to km 450): Undertaken by Boquerón Consortium, 110% completed;
- Lot 7 (km 450 to km 525): Undertaken by Constructora Asunción SA y Asociados Consortium, 52% completed;
- Lot 8 (km 525 to km 603): Undertaken by Rovella Carranza SA, 90% completed;
The construction duration for the concession is 2 years with 4 years of the maintenance period.
