The Ministry of Public Works has presented the progress of the construction of the Chacao Bridge which will connect the island territory with the mainland through a high-standard road that will allow a 2.7 km journey in just a few minutes.

According to the new work program:

• construction work will be 50% complete by the end of this year (currently at 47.5%);
• construction of the southern pier should be completed in Q1 of 2025;
• construction of the northern pier should be completed in H2 of 2025; and
• the central pier should be ready by mid-2026, to complete the work in H2 of 2028.
