3P Renewables to develop Drinking water production PPP project in Pointe-Noire

3PRS Congo Pointe-Noire, the Congolese subsidiary of 3P Renewables Switzerland (3PRS), has signed a PPP agreement with the Government of Congo for the production and distribution of drinking water in the city of Pointe-Noire.

The project involves the development of two Aquabloc type water intakes with a capacity of 1,500 m3/h each, a treatment plant capable of supplying 30,000 m3 of drinking water per day, three storage reservoirs with a total capacity of 4,500 m3, renovation of the existing reservoir with a capacity of 5,000 m³ and installation of 460 km of pipes across the city.

The company will operate the concession for more than 22 years on a BOOT (acquisition-construction-operation-transfer) PPP model.
