Saudi Water Partnership Company launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for its Small Sewage Treatment Plants (SSTPs) programme in the Jazan region with the deadline of May 6, 2021. A total of 38 consortium teams, consisting of 46 companies, expressed their interest in this project. The list consists of 27 Saudi companies, 3 Spanish companies, 4 companies from China, 2 from Egypt, Italy and UAE as well as other international companies.
The project involves the development of 20 SSTPs of varying capacities along with sewage conveyance infrastructure or the Collection Networks (CN) in the Jazan region. The total combined capacity of SSTPs will be around 104,500 m3/day (with sizes ranging from 1,000- 15,000 m3/day). The concession contract will be awarded for a period of 25 years.
