The Ministry of Public Works and Communications has announced that 20% of the construction works have been completed for the 180-bed Great Hospital of Coronel Oviedo in Caaguazu, Paraguay.
The consortium made of Jiménez Gaona y Lima SA, Itasa SA and Proel Engineering is responsible for the implementation of the project. Once complete the hospital building will be approximately 20,000 square meters featuring a parking lot with a capacity for approximately 1,000 vehicles and a fully equipped heliport to receive ambulance helicopters. The Hospital will also have its own effluent treatment plant, hospital waste treatment plant and oxygen generation plant.
