Zencap AM reaches first closing for Zencap Infra Debt 2

Zencap Asset Management, an asset manager whose investment focus lies in European unlisted debt, has launched Zencap Infra Debt 2, attracting a total commitment of €236 million (US$265 million) for its first closing from four institutional investors in the insurance sector.

The new vehicle, a French FCT, will invest through Natixis’ infrastructure platform, which provides access to infrastructure debt and bespoke servicing on each investment up until maturity.

The vehicle complies with the requirements of French Fonds de Prêts à l’Économie. The strategy offered by the fund provides institutional investors with portfolio diversification and commitment to sustainable development through investment in various sectors such as social infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, transportation, and waste and water processing.

Recently, we reported the first close of several funds. Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) announced the first and final close of its latest infrastructure fund, Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 5 (MEIF5). The fund closed with €4 billion (US$4.5 billion) of investor commitments. Kerogen Capital announced the closing of Kerogen Energy Fund II, L.P. together with its parallel funds and related co-investment funds, with total capital commitments of US$830 million.
