The Wood Group Plc. has announced that it has received two contracts from Enter Engineering with a combined value of over US$200 million to deliver petrochemical projects in Uzbekistan.
Under the first contract Wood Plc will be responsible to deliver the full engineering scope, including FEED and detailed design for a MOF-3 copper-concentration complex, located in the city of Almalyk whereas the second contract involves detailed engineering and procurement assistance services for the construction of a new methanol-to-olefin (MTO) based gas-chemical complex, located in the Bukhara region.
The complex task scope entails the delivery of five process units, including polypropylene, mono-ethylene glycol, low-density polyethylene, and methanol to olefin. A customized digital strategy will also be created to integrate the control systems of the entire complex.
