The Quang Tri People's Committee has issued a decision approving the selection of the investor for a Quang Tri Airport construction PPP project worth over VND 5.82 trillion (USD 239.4 million) in Vietnam.
The winning bidder for the project is a consortium led by T&T Transport Infrastructure Development and Investment Company in partnership with CIENCO4 Group Joint Stock Company. The Quang Tri airport initiative aims to accommodate the demand for handling 5 million passengers and 25,500 tonnes of cargo annually. The project spans 265 ha of land in Gio Linh district's Gio Quang, Gio Hai, and Gio Mai communes, excluding 51.2 ha of military land.
The total investment for the venture comprises over VND 1.091 trillion (USD 44.8 million) in equity capital and more than VND 4.729 trillion (USD 194.5 million) from credit and other legal capital sources. Executed under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) contract, the project's preparation and construction phase are anticipated to span two years. The contract implementation period, covering operation, toll collection, and capital return, extends for 47 years and 2 months.
