Ministry of Public Works in Chile has announced that two economic offers were opened for the development of the Los Rios-Los Lagos Hospital Network PPP project.
The Constructora y Edificadora GIA + A SA de CV has presented the best offer, which includes CLF634,900 (US$21.38 million) of fixed subsidy for construction and CLF161,400 (US$5.43 million) of fixed subsidy for operation. The contract award is planned for the first quarter of 2022, and the construction works are expected to start during the first quarter of 2023. The hospital network is planned to be operational in the first quarter of 2026.
The PPP project consists of the construction and operation of three hospitals in the Los Rios Region and one hospital in the Los Lagos Region. With a total investment of CLF7.09 million (US$297 million), the Hospital Network will provide 500 beds in 153,000 square meters of health infrastructure, helping an estimated population of 290,000 people. The concession period will be 19 years.
