Soletanche Freyssinet, the VINCI division specialised in civil engineering, has increased its holding in Grupo Rodio Kronsa to 100%.
Rodio Kronsa, previously jointly controlled with Mexican partner ICA, holds all Soletanche Freyssinet locations operating in foundations (Soletanche Bachy) in Central America, the Iberian Peninsula and Morocco.
RodioKronsa was created by the merger of two companies in the geotechnical engineering field. With over 80 years' experience in soil engineering and special foundations. The firm will generate revenue of nearly €100 million (US$106.1 million) in 2015, of which more than 60% in Latin America.
Soletanche Freyssinet is stepping up its international expansion and continuing to increase the share of its revenue generated outside Europe. With the addition of a network of seven further subsidiaries in Central America, Soletanche Freyssinet will be in a position to better serve its clients in this geographical area.
