The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRCL) has awarded Dilip Buildcon a INR7.23 billion (US$87.72 million) civil contract for Phase 2 of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project, Gujarat, India.
The project involves the development of 68.28 km long Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS) connecting Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar cities of Gujarat. The project is being developed in two phases. The first phase comprises of 40.3 km and the second phase is 28.25 km long.
Dilip Buildcon will be responsible for the design, construction of 7.55 km elevated viaduct and seven stations entailing E&M, architectural finishing, roofing, plumbing, signage and others from Sector I to the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project (Package C3).
