The government of Uruguay has launched the the tender process for the development of 23 schools, 9 tech education centers and 10 sports centers, which is part of the second package of Uruguay's School PPP plan.
This project involves a total investment of US$78 million.
As we reported in November 2016, the government launched the tender for the first wave of shool PPPs involving 44 kindergardens and 15 family and childhood centers with an initial investment of US$55 million.
This first two packages are part of a major programme which comprises four levels: early childhood, initial education, primary education and secondary education, with an estimated total investment of US$432 million.
The programme includes the development of more than 200 PPP schools projects, including 165 schools for the National Public Education Administration (ANEP) which will be located in the following areas:
Additionally the project also involves the development of 60 schools for the Institute of Child and Adolescent of Uruguay (INAU).
The deadline for the tender documents are on or before August 21 at 12:00 (local time).
