The PPP Unit of Egypt has released the official list of teams shortlisted for the Abu Rawash Wastewater Treatment Plant PPP project.
The shortlisted teams are the following:
According to a local newspaper the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), the Commercial International Bank (CIB) and the Banque Misr approved to finance the Abu Rawash Wastewater Treatment Plant PPP project in a meeting with the Egyptian Ministry of Finance weeks ago.
The plant has a construction cost of EGP 5 billion (US$752 million).
The deadline for submissions of pre-qualification documents had been extended until Sunday - March 17th, 2013.
The project involves the Design, financing, raising capacity of existing primary treatment plant from 1.2 million m3/day to 1.6 million m3/day and construction of a secondary treatment stage for the Abu Rawash Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the operation and maintenance of the whole plant with a capacity of 1.6 million m3/day.
