Uganda seeks transaction advisors for a housing PPP project

Uganda has announced it has launched a tender process to seek transaction advisors for a housing PPP project.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has allocated funds to be used for the acquisition of the consultancy services for the project, which involves the construction of housing accommodation for UPDF (Uganda People’s Defence Forces) personnel, chief’s office block and redevelopment of Acacia Mess through Public Private Partnership (PPP) Arrangements.

The MOD wishes to involve the Private Sector in the construction of 30,000 housing units for UPDF personnel. The proposed projects are aimed at improving the welfare of the soldiers.

The private sector participation will include the financing, design and construction of these facilities.

Expressions of Interest must be delivered before February, 4.
