Uganda seeks TA for IT projects

The National Information Technology Authority of Uganda (NITA-U) has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEO) to hire transaction advisors for IT projects.

NITA-U provides first level support and advice for critical Government information technology systems including managing the utilization of the resources and infrastructure for centralised data centre facilities for large systems through the provision of specialized technical skills. In addition it regulates the electronic signature infrastructure and other related matters as used in electronic transactions in Uganda.

NITA-U desires to involve the private sector in the delivery establishment and operationalization of several but related IT Infrastructure and Services. The proposed projects are aimed at meeting both the present and future demands for e-government services delivery. There is a requirement to review feasibility studies with the view of structuring the projects for implementation as public private partnerships (PPP). The projects are:

NITA-U is seeking transaction advisor to structure the projects as a PPP. Interested parties must submit their EOIs on or before 31 August 2015.

The Consultant will conduct a needs assessment, develop a business case and prepare tender documents for procurement of the private sector developer among other things.
