Uganda seeks advisors for Defence housing project

The government of Uganda has launched a tender process to hire consultants for the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) housing PPP project.

The project will comprise the construction of 30,000 housing units for UPDF personnel, chief’s office block and redevelopment of Acacia Mess. The preferred bidder will be responsible for the financing, design and construction of the new facilities.

The selected advisors will have to carry out the following key tasks:

  • Review the concept note pre-feasibility studies of the projects.
  • Undertake comprehensive feasibility studies of the projects.
  • Prepare Bidding documents and a draft PPP Contract for the projects.
  • Provide Transaction Advisory Services for the procurement of a private partner / investor for the projects.

Interested parties must submit their expressions of interest on or before 14 January 2016.
