Uganda launches tender for waste-to-energy PPP plant

Uganda's National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has launched a request for proposals (RFP) to develop a Waste-to-Energy PPP project for its Kampala Service Area.

The project will be developed on design, build, finance and operate (DBFO) basis. The concession will be for period of 20 years.

Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before 21 September 2015.Bidding will be conducted in accordance with open international bidding procedures approved by Uganda's Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA).

In March this year we reported on the Uganda's office park for the Justice, Law and Order Sector (JLOS) Institutions PPP project. The project involves the design, finance, construct, and maintenance of the new facilities. It will be developed on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis.
