Two teams submit bids for Bucaramanga - Pamplona road PPP

The Colombian National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has recently received two proposals for the construction of the Bucaramanga- Pamplona road PPP project.

The project would be the first to be awarded from the third package of the Colombian Fourth Generation (4G) road concessions program, which includes about 40 projects to build approximately 8,000 km with a total investment of US$17.5 billion.

The consortia interested in building the Autopista Bucaramanga-Pamplona are:

  • CSS Constructores S.A (Carlos Alberto Solarte Solarte Constructores S.A)
  • Estructura Plural PSF APP Bucaramanga Pamplona, formed by:
    • Construcciones Rubau (40%)
    • Concretos y asfaltos - Conasfaltos (25%)
    • Sergio Torres (25%)
    • Beta SAS (5%)
    • Profit (5%)

The final bidder will be responsible for the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of the road during the concession period.

Bucaramanga- Pamplona road PPP project involves the development of a 133 km road linking Bucaramanga with the city of Pamplona, which includes the Bucaramanga bypass and the Floridablanca bypass. The new road will have connections with the Barbosa – Bucaramanga and the Pamplona – Cúcuta concessions. The concession value is estimated at US$436 million.

The Colombian National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) will award the concession contract of this road PPP project on April 22.
