The management council of PPPs of Sorocaba (São Paulo state) has received two feasibility studies for a potential public private partnership of the Sorocaba Clinic hospital in the northern part of the city. 

Two local construction companies submitted the feasibility studies:

• Norberto Odebrecht and
• Construcap CCPS Engenharia

The hospital management concession has an estimated value of R$263 million (US$120 million).

In March 2014, eight Expressions of Interest (EOIs) were received to prepare the Feasibility studies:

• Abengoa Construção Brasil Ltda.,
• Construcap e BF Capital Assessoria Operações Financeiras;
• IDOM Consultoria Ltda.;
• KPMG Structured Finance S.A.;
• Proficenter Construções Ltda.;
• Mendes Júnior Trading e Engenharia S.A.;
• Construtora Norberto Odebrecht;
• Vivante S. A.

Sorocaba is the eighth largest city in the state of São Paulo. Outside the Greater São Paulo region, it ranks behind only Campinas, São José dos Campos and Ribeirão Preto. With an estimated population of 700,313 inhabitants, it is a regional capital of the Sorocaba microregion with 14 municipalities, totaling over 1.5 million inhabitants.
