Transnet, the South African rail, port and pipeline company, has launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a terminal operator to develop a liquid bulk port terminal on PPP at the port of Durban, South Africa.
The winning bidder will be responsible for the design, development, financing, construction, operation, maintenance and transfer of a Liquid Bulk Terminal for the Handling of Refined Petroleum Products at Lot 100 Site in the Island View Precinct in the Port of Durban.
The concession contract be awarded under a 25-year agreement.
The Durban port terminal has a combined capacity of 3.6 million TEU per annum, which will increase to 4 million TEU after the berth extension.
Interested bidders must submit their proposals on or before January 27th at 12:00 (local hour).
