TIFIA loans approved for highway projects in the US The U.S. Department of Transportation yesterday, April 24, announced the selection of five highway projects to apply for a Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) loan:• Port of Long Beach to replace Gerald Desmond Bridge;• State Route 91 project in California;• Colorado's U.S. 36 managed lanes and bus rapid transit project;• Interstate 95 HOT/HOV lanes project in Northern Virginia; and• I-35W project in Texas.You can now more about those announcements here.

The Danish pension company PensionDanmark, via the fund Copenhagen Infrastructure I managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is now funding an investment commitment of $200 million in capital for the Cape Wind project (in the form of a mezzanine loan).
