Three teams submit bids for Liege tram PPP project

According to 7Sur7, the Société Régionale Wallonne du Transport (SRWT) received last Thursday bids from three out of four teams qualified for the final stage of the tender process for the design, financing, construction and maintenance of the first tram line in the city of Liege, Belgium.

According to the mentioned source, the selected team will be announced in May 2014.

The three teams that submitted bids were the following:- Tram ArdentBombardier, Meridiam, CFE, Vinci,- Legiaexpress: CAF, Colas and DIF,- MobiliègeAlstom, BAM PPP, PGGM and DG Infra

Another team composed of Siemens and BESIX finally declined to submit an offer.

The team composed of Ansaldo Breda, Eraerts, Jan de Nul and Strukton did not meet the specified technical requirements in the previous stage of the tender process and was not qualified for the final round.

PWC is acting as financial consultant and STIBBE as legal advisor to the SRWT. LiègeTram is advising technically to SRWT.

After the analysis of the bids, two teams will be invited to make Best and Final Offers (BAFOs) in November 2013.
