The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has announced that three parties will compete for the financing, reconstruction, adaptation, administration, operation, maintenance, commercial exploitation, modernization and reversion of the Gustavo Rojas Pinilla Airport in San Andrés.

The project includes building a new 13,500 m2 passenger terminal, installing new boarding bridges, constructing new buildings for airport medical services and for the Rescue and Firefighting Service, a new cargo terminal, as well as public urban areas in front of the new passenger terminal. The airport infrastructure will be concessioned for 30 years (pre-construction 1.5 years, construction 3 years, and 25.5 years of operation and maintenance), and will have the capacity to serve 2.8 million passengers annually. The private initiative for this airport will have an investment of close to US$245.70 million.
