Three groups are in the final stretch of the tender process for a new long-term care home PPP in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Corner Brook Care Partnership, Infraworks and Lark Group were shortlisted in May from a group of five to move to the request for proposals stage for the P3 project. These three teams are namely:
The new facility marks the beginning of a new Western Memorial Regional Hospital campus and will include 120 long-term care beds, as well as 15 palliative care beds and 10 rehabilitative care beds.
The estimated investment for the project will range between CAD120 million (US$140 million) and CAD140 million (US$163 million).
Works Minister Al Hawkins said in a previous release:
“Partnering with private industry allows for the delivery of priority infrastructure projects and services in a cost-effective manner while resident care will continue to be provided by public sector employees.”
