The Scottish government has shortlisted BALFOUR Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd, Wills Bros Civil Engineering Ltd, and John Graham Construction Ltd for the next section of the A9 Dualling scheme in Scotland.
Balfour Beatty secured a contract valued at nearly GBP 185 million (US$ 241.4 million) to upgrade a 6-mile (10km) section of the A9 between Tomatin and Moy, located south of Inverness. The larger GBP 3 billion (US$ 4 billion) project to convert 77 miles (124km) of single-carriageway between Inverness and Perth into a dual carriageway has been delayed by 10 years, with a new completion target set for 2035.
