Thirteen more schools to be modernised through the Leicester BSF Programme

The Leicester Miller Education Company has signed contracts to build 13 additional schools in the Leicester BSF (Building Schools for the Future) Programme, totalling £139 million in construction and ICT value.

The Leicester Miller Education Company, a partnership between Miller Construction, Leicester City Council, Semperian and BSFi, will manage the development of the projects which contain a mix of new build & refurbished secondary and special educational needs  schools.

The city schools that will benefit from this investment are New College, Babington Community College, Ellesmere Community College, Sir Jonathan North Community College, The Lancaster School, Keyham Lodge School, Millgate School, Moat Community College, St Paul's School, English Martyrs School, Hamilton Community College, Nether Hall School and West Gate School.

Miller Construction has been appointed as the main contractor for the design, build and refurbishment of all 13 schools, while Capita Managed IT Solutions will provide ICT services.

The Leicester Miller Education Company is also nearing contract close on the final school in the Leicester BSF programme, Ash Field Academy, which is expected to reach contractual commitment by the summer.
