Tender launched for Lisburn community care center

South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust, in Belfast, has launched a tender to design, build, finance and maintain a new primary and community care centre in the Lisburn area for a term of 25 years.

The estimated capital value of the construction element of the Project is in the region of GBP 35 million through a monthly service charge over the 25 year contract.

The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 12 August 2013

The project:

The exact location of the new primary and community care centre has not been pre-determined. As such, the private partner will be able to identify and provide solutions based on a site of their own choosing in the Lisburn area or to use the site owned by the Contracting Authority at Lagan Valley Hospital.

The potential scale of the overall development may approach approximately 12,000sqm.

The provision of certain hard facilities management services by the the private partner will form part of the contract:

  • building maintenance services;
  •  electrical maintenance services;
  •  mechanical maintenance services; and
  • grounds maintenance services.
The Contracting Authority will continue to provide certain services including, but not limited to:
  • Portering;
  • Cleaning;
  • Security;
  • Reception services;
  • Purchasing and logistics; and
  • Internal redecoration.
