Tender launched for Anaheim Intermodal Center through P3 route

The City of Anaheim has launched a Request for Qualifications for the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center project. The private team will

(1) operate and maintain the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center facility and all capital assets,

(2) will  design, build, finance, operate, and maintain an outdoor advertising component of the project, and

(3) will manage and maintain sales and assets of an indoor advertising component of the project.

The City intends to solicit various support services through a long term performance-based contract taking the form of a Public-Private Partnership.

Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, a partnership between the City of Anaheim and the Orange County Transportation Authority, will be built adjacent to Angel Stadium of Anaheim and Honda Center on East Katella Ave. Designed to provide service for the more than 40 million visitors to Anaheim and Orange County each year as well as Orange County's three million residents, Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center will house many different transportation modes when it opens in late 2014, including Metrolink, Amtrak, Orange County Transportation Authority bus service, taxi, bicycle, international buses and tour and charter buses.

Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center is also planned for future modes of transportation services, such as high speed rail and Anaheim Rapid Connection, as well as retail, restaurant, office and ticketing space, truly making it a multi-purpose civic space.
