Scarborough Borough Council in North Yorkshire, UK has launched a tender notice seeking a private partner to deliver good quality and environmentally sustainable homes, with a focus on accelerating the provision of affordable housing and generating social value.
The private partner will work under a 50:50 corporate joint venture ("JV") arrangement. The concession period for the project is 30 years.
The partner will fund, enable, develop, and undertake sales activity across a program of sites located within Borough. Initially the programme involves works at eight sites, the scope can be increased to include more sites in future. The JV could also purchase its own sites from a third party or the JV partner could offer sites to the JV.
