Velindre University NHS Trust has opened a tender seeking interested partners for the design, construction, finance and maintenance of the New Velindre Cancer Centre project in Whitchurch, North Cardiff. The project is proposed to procure through the Welsh Government's Mutual Investment Model (MIM).
The centre will occupy an area of approximately 32,500 sqm and will include a specialist cancer treatment centre, a centre for learning, research and development facilities, temporary construction accesses, parking, energy centre, landscape works, and pedestrian paths. The construction is anticipated to be in the region of GBP562 million (US$780.94 million). The duration of the contract will be around 27 years (325 months).
