The Alachua County Commission in Florida, USA has launched a request for proposals (RFP) seeking a private partner for the development of County Administration Building. The authority received an unsolicited proposal for the design, finance, construction, operation, and maintenance of the building, which was deemed sufficient for consideration on a preliminary basis and will accept other proposals. Currently, the county building is located at 12 SE 1st street and occupies an area of 66,000 square feet.
The private partner will be responsible for the development of building with approx. 150,000 square feet of built-up area located in downtown Gainesville. The building will have office space (offices, workstations, conference rooms, and related amenities) to accommodate approximately 375 employees as well as an attractive lobby area, car parking facilities, retail space, backup 911 call center, and adequate space for IT equipment.
