Swiss city tenders school PPP project

The Swiss city of Fribourg has recently published an open tender process seeking a private partner for the expansion of the primary school of Vignettaz through a public-private partnership (PPP) project. Vallat Partenaires SA is in charge of the advice for the procurement and management of the project.

More concretely, Fribourg plans to finance and, optionally build and operate (contract option), the expansion project of the primary school of Vignettaz on a public- private partnership basis. The project will be developed in two phases.

The private or institutional investor sought will have the ability to assume the financing of the project of €25 million (US$28.7 million) for Phase 1 and €12.4 million (US$14.25 million) for Phase 2 over a period of 40 years. These amounts are likely to get cantonal subsidies.

Interested firms must submit their interest in the tender process before May 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. (local time).
