Sound Global wins wastewater O&M bundle through PPP

Sound Global Ltd. has entered into a cooperation agreement with Chongqing Yulong Asset Management (Holdings) Limited for the wastewater O&M bundle through PPP in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, China.

The state's highly-recommended PPP mode is adopted by the parties for the bundled operation and maintenance (O&M) project of 2 municipal sewage treatment plants and 14 rural sewage treatment plants.

These sewage treatment plants will have a daily total treatment capacity of 41,300 tonnes and they are designed to meet the Grade 1B standards.

The operation period is 25 years. The O&M model will be first applied to these 16 urban and municipal sewage treatment plants controlled by People's Government of Jiulongpo District in Chongqing, fully leveraging on the comprehensive technology and operation advantages of Sound Global in environmental governance to provide professional services for the eco-environment development of Jiulongpo District and Taohuaxi.

The O&M project of the 16 sewage treatment plants located in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, is another typical example of comprehensive sewage treatment following the successful implementation of bundled sewage treatment projects in rural areas of Xishui, Huangping and Xingren County in South-western China.

In addition, such cooperation will enable the company to increase its market share and regional influence in water services and ecological governance in Jiulongpo District, and even in Chongqing as a whole.
