Sound Global Ltd., one of China's leading turnkey water & wastewater treatment solutions providers, has announced that it has won two Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) projects in China: a project to build 12 sewage treatment plants in Xishui County and the sewage treatment plant of Sanming City.
The first project involves the construction of sewage treatment plants for 12 villages and townships in Xishui County. The build, operate and transfer (BOT) model will be adopted for the investment, construction, operation and transfer of these plants, and the build and transfer mode will be used for the investment and construction of the ancillary drainage network. The project cost is estimated at RMB260 million (US$42.4 million) and the concession period granted to the company is 30 years.
The second project will be developed on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis for a period of 31 years (inclusive of 1-year construction period). The sewage plant will be located at the Sanming Taiwanese Investment Zone of Sanming City, Fujian Province. The long-term and short-term designed daily treatment capacity of the project will be approximately 45,000m3/day and 15,000 m3 /day, respectively. The project cost is estimated at RMB50.64 million (US$8.25 million).
