The Brazilian municipality of Sorocaba, thought the PPP Program Administrator (Conselho Gestor do Programa de Parcerias Público-Privadas) and the Municipal Secretariat of Mobility, Development and Public works, has launched a public hearing for the Sorocaba Bus Rapid Transit (BTR) PPP project.

The public hearing will be hold at the "Auditório da Prefeitura Municipal de Sorocaba" on 4 November 2014. Interested parties must register by today 3 November 2014.

In late May we reported that six companies submitted EOIs to execute the feasibility studies of the project. The companies were the following:

• Consórcio Sorocaba;
• Creta Planejamento;
• Ellenco Construções Ltda.;
• KPMG Structured Finance S.A.;
• Proficenter Construções Ltda.;
• Promon Engenharia Ltda.

At that time the the Brazilian municipality of Sorocaba also received EOIs to execute the feasibility studies of the Sorocoba Clinic Hospital project.

Sorocaba is a municipality in the state of São Paulo and it also is the eighth largest city in the state. With an estimated population of 700,313 inhabitants, it is a regional capital of the Sorocaba microregion with 14 municipalities, totaling over 1.5 million inhabitants.
