The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic (MoH SK) has issued a request for expressions of interest (RFEOI) to develop a new university hospital in Bratislava (NUHB) through a PPP project.
The NUHB shall provide a range of tertiary healthcare services to the Bratislava region, including a trauma and a specialist care centre at the Slovak national level. The NUHB shall serve as a centre of excellence for the region. The new 945-bed hospital will be constructed in the Karlova Ves cadastral area in the northwest part of Bratislava with a total area of approximately 9 hectares.
The total project investment is estimated at €220 million (US$294 million).
The project will be developed on a design, build, finance, operation and maintenance (DBFOM) basis. The private partner is expected to maintain contract for a period of approximately 30 years from commencement of the operational phase.
