Skanska UK strengthens Executive Management Team

Skanska has promoted Greg Craig and Kelly Gangotra to its UK Executive Management Team.

The appointments come at a time of significant growth for the company, on the back of a number of major building and infrastructure contract wins last year.

Greg Craig has been with Skanska since 2002. He spent five years as operations director for the company's London building business, and five years as managing director for Skanska's civil engineering operation. For the last year, he has been managing director of its infrastructure services business, a role he will retain. In addition to his current responsibilities, he will also take executive responsibility for civil engineering and health and safety.

Kelly Gangotra joined Skanska in 2012 in the role of Finance Director (Operations), having previously worked in a number of sectors including renewable energy and manufacturing.  She will now assume the role of Deputy Chief Financial Officer, transitioning to become Chief Financial Officer by the end of 2015.

The appointments will enlarge the existing Executive Management Team of President and CEO Mike Putnam and Executive Vice Presidents Roger Bayliss, Paul Chandler, Harvey Francis, Mark Galloway and Bill Hocking.

Skanska recruited 750 people across the company's operations in 2014 and plans to employ a further 1,250 people over the next two years.

Mike Putnam stated:

"The future is bright and we are growing fast. An expanded and strengthened executive team ensures we maintain strong customer relationships, the solid business foundations to underpin our growth and the strategic focus to keep it moving in the right direction."
