PUB, Singapore's national water agency, has recently published a Request for Proposal (RFP) process seeking for developers for a desalination plant PPP project to be built in Marina East, an urban planning area in Singapore.
The desalination plant at Marina East will be developed on a design, build, own, operate (DBOO) basis during a 25-year lease agreement. This will be the 4th desalination plant constructed in the island city-state ant it is expected that the plant enters operation in 2019.
The new plant will have a capacity production of about 30 million imperial gallons of water a day. Additionally, a water purchase agreement will be signed between the private party and PUB which will contain the technical, financial, commercial and legal terms and conditions for the supply and purchase of water.
In this process KPMG, Black & Veatch, Squire Patton Boggs and HCF and Associates are advising Singapore's PUB.
Those who are interested in the bidding process must purchase the documents to enter in competition. The deadline for the submission of proposals is on August 18, 2016 at 04:00 PM.
