Siemens expands energy finance business in Asia-Australia Region Siemens Financial Services has announced the expansion of its Project and Structured Finance - Energy business into the Asia-Australia region, providing customers in these markets with access to a broad range of capital solutions including debt, equity and advisory support.

Establishing a hub in Singapore, Anton Conradie is heading the team's efforts to support large energy projects.

Siemens Financial Services recently acted as a key lender in the construction and operation of a refinery and petrochemical complex in Nghi Son (Vietnam). The project is estimated to cost a total of  US$9 billion and will be the second of its kind in Vietnam. Its purpose is to satisfy the increasing demand for petroleum products in Vietnam as well as to produce petrochemicals for export. The transaction involves a total of six ExportCredit Agencies  with Siemens Financial Services taking part in financing four of the covered debt tranches.

Siemens Energy Sector supports Siemens Financial Services's involvement in the Nghi Son project. The transaction represents the largest petrochemical project in the Asia-Australia region for 2013.
