Infrastructure Ontario and Casey House have issued the request for proposals to build and finance the Casey House facility replacement project in Toronto.
The companies invited to respond to this request for proposals are the following companies that were shortlisted in December 2013:
The replacement project will provide more efficient, seamless care by consolidating all programs and services under one roof. It involves renovating an existing heritage property at 571 Jarvis St. and incorporating a new 48,000-square-foot facility that will be built at 119 Isabella St. The new facility will feature:
Casey House was Canada's first stand-alone treatment facility for people with HIV/AIDS when it opened in 1988. It is a specialty HIV/AIDS care facility that also offers community programming, including home care and outreach programs.
