SEDUR launches tender for Salvador de Bahia metro system PPP project

The Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Urbano of Bahia Government has launched a tender for a public private partnership (PPP) contract for the implementation and operation of the metro system of Salvador e Lauro de Freitas - SMSL.

The PPP project involves the construction of Line 2, the extension of Line 1 and the operation and maintenance of both lines.

The project was structured with a PMI in 2012.  The winning bidder will have to pay R$ 2.500.000,00 to the following companies for the Feasibility Studies carried out in the PMI stage:

The proposals for the PPP project will be received at BM&FBOVESPA on July 15th, 2013 from 9:00 am to 2:oo pm. The proposals will be opened at 3:00 pm on the same day.The estimated investment for the project is US$1.7 billion.
