Scor to raise 500 million infra debt fund advised by gide Loyrette Nouel

The magazine Law in France has reported that Gide Loyrette Nouel has advised the SCOR group in structuring and raising its first infrastructure debt fund.

The SCOR Group is organised around two main businesses, SCOR Global P&C (Property and Casualty reinsurance) and SCOR Global Life (Life reinsurance), plus an asset management business, SCOR Global Investments.

Gide Loyrette Nouel acted as counsel SCOR Global Investments on the constitution of the fund SCOR INFRASTRUCTURE LOANS dedicated to the acquisition of loans and debt securities of European Union entities. The objective is to raise €500 million.

According to the source, the fund is benefitting from a new decree in France that approves certain investment rules for insurance companies.
